Nats stunt pilots.$$$
« on: July 13, 2011, 04:00:46 PM »
Gentlemen, I am sorry for not reporting this before now or at the banquet Saturday night.
You guys really stepped up with donations for the 180 building manager, and the grounds crew at AMA. We collected a total of $240.00 from Sat. with beginner & intermediate. Monday at the pilots meeting, and Tuesday at the classic and old time circles. Let me tell you they really appreciated it. I don't know if other Nats flying groups tip, but it sure is a great feather in our (PAMPA) cap.
I think the grass circles were in great condition all week long, thanks again PAMPA. #^ #^ #^

Blessings
Allen

Hi Allen - Along those same lines, I was impressed with the hard work put in by the food providers, especially the lady cooking over that hot grill on Thurs. & Fri. They sure earned the 2 bucks they charged for the cheeseburgers. Hope someone gave her a well deserved thanks.  Ed

Ed you are so right. We call her "mom" and she is a very hard worker. They work the FCM contest in Aug. and she also prepares our Saturday night supper too. They are the best food vendor's AMA has ever had!
I'll pass on your praise to her next month. Thanks

Blessings
Allen

Can't wait until my first FCM meal on Saturday night.  All previous contests, I had to drive home on Saturday night to head a major financial church meeting on that particular weekend of the month.

And thank you for riding herd on the issue.

If a little additional incentive is what it takes, it sure seemed well worth it. The grass was at least as good a shape as it was in 2002. which was the previous best. It would have been perfectly acceptable for the entire contest as far as I am concerned. It's sure better than a lot of the WAM contests I have been to. As long as they keep the tractors off of it, should be good to go.

Thanks again to the ground crew.  I know they only had two people in 2010 but the two main guys had about five to six temps to help this year.  It made the site great to fly on.
