Title: Father's Day Gift
Post by: Dick Pacini on June 28, 2011, 06:55:30 AM
My oldest son told me he wanted to get me a Father's Day gift like none other I had ever received.  He told me I was hard to buy for so asked me for a list of modeling stuff that I needed or wanted.  I told him I had been buying stuff for almost 3 years and had quite a collection already.  Still, he pushed the issue, so I gave him a list, admitting it was pricey.  I didn't expect what was to come.

Yesterday, UPS dropped off a large box on my porch. I thought it was an ARF, but to my surprise, it was a Gieseke Nobler from UHP.  I was dumbfounded.  It was on my list, but I never thought he would choose that.  There were other items I wanted that were cheaper, but I got the pick of the litter.  I'm a happy guy! ;D

You say it was a large box.  Was it the ARF/ARC or the kit?  I have the ARF/ARC as the SLC is already on the plane and needs painting after assembling the components.  H^^

It was the component kit, ARF.  They don't offer the stick kit anymore.

Happy Father's Day.

Steve put together a nice package for this airplane.  I've had mine flying for a year now with a RO-Jett 40 BSRE.  Put it together and fly it.
