As you know, we operate under the BOM. Consequently, the nature of our business employs a wide range of skills. I personally, have always been somewhat more open minded, as to where those skills come from.
I personally believe that, what I am going to show you, is without question, one of the absolute finest examples of model aviation digital prototyping from inception to finished product, that I have ever seen.

Hi Milt,

While it might not be CLPA, it is model aviation and the guys skills with solidworks is incredible!  It would be awesome to see what someone with that skill set could do with a CLPA model.  What he has done is beyond belief to this old red neck. ;D

Uh, well now...IF the guy drew all that stuff in Solidworks, that's kinda cool. If he imported jpegs into Solidworks via a few other programs, I don't care about it at all. I'd like to see him make that stuff. Any 12 year old can do wonder chit on the computer, but let's see them make some chips and have an end product that functions. Call me jaded. The "crack" engineers at work can wheel through Solidworks and AutoCad, no problem. But they can't make a decent drawing for the guy in the shop, much less make a plywood box that's worth a hoot. Seeing the site and the mans ability with a computor is amazing.   It reminds of the one Adimisin that was developing an all composite plane for stunt. As I remember he had the main components done.   H^^

All I remember is this was just a couple of years ago.  He had the molds for the fuse, wing and tail surfaces.   H^^
