Stolen Models
« on: October 27, 2008, 07:05:27 PM »
I am posting this at the request of Bob Duncan.  His car was broken into on 10/27 and two airplanes were stolen.  One is a Trivial Pursuit w/ VF 46 power.  The second is a Jamison Special w/a Magnum 32.  AMA #17356 on the wing.  Pics are posted on Heman Lee's "Aeromaniacs" web site.  If anyone is approached at a field (doubtful) or sees them advertised on say a "Craig's List" site or E-Bay (probable), please let me know.  I will contact Bob and we will take it from there. :X
Thanks. PC

Sad news.  But, I doubt if you ever see the planes again.   Many years ago a flying buddy's car was cleaned out.  Planes, tools, which included tools for his job.  None of it was ever seen again.  But, I hope you get lucky on this one.   DOC Holliday

Thanks Jim and Doc.  Bob is taking it real well and knows its a long shot but we can always hope.  I sometimes leave my planes in the car overnight knowing it's a risk but mine are nowhere near the caliber of the ones that Bob lost.  A real shame.

AFWIW: Heman posted pics of the stolen airplanes under my post there on Stuka Stunt.

For what its worth. There is no need to not post pictures here instead of referring people to SSW. A lot easier to post here than there. I do not hold the stead fast rule of you cant mention SSW here as SSW does about SH. However I see this more and more.

Thanks for the clarification and this forum Bob.  I guess I was just anxious to get the word out.
