FAI Team Trials Line Up
« on: September 04, 2009, 09:20:40 PM »
Here is the lineup from Howard Rush:   (Howard has some great pictures, but they wouldn't copy and paste. I don't have the time right now to insert the pictures)

Here are the contestants:

Bill Werwage
Frank McMillan
Eric Taylor
Bob McDonald
Orestes Hernandez
Derek Barry
Howard Rush
Josias Delgado
Jose Modesto
Stan Powell
Bill Rich
Robert Storick
Kenny Stevens
Steve Moon
Phil Granderson
Randy Smith
Allen Brickhaus
Richard Oliver
Jim Aron
Matt Neumann
Doug Moon
Brett Buck
John Leidle
Ryan Young (Jr.)

Windy has been sick. He's getting better, but wasn't up to coming to the team trials. I heard that Bob Hunt is laid up, too. Paul Walker spent all his money marrying off his daughter. Ted Fancher is in show business now. Dave Fitzgerald is Champion of the World, so he gets a pass. He's here, though, helping Warren run the contest.

I guess the other kids have conceded the Junior spot to Ryan. I can see the logic in that, but this is still a good contest. They should have come.

I have been watching people practice. Some really good stunt has been flown the last couple of days. Today I saw Robert Storick do a perfect overhead eight.

If somebody wants to copy this note and paste it elsewhere, it's OK with me. I'd do it, but I gotta snooze some.

Good Luck to all the F2B competitors.  Sure got some nice weather to fly in here in Muncie.  I hope to get out there to see some of it today and tomorrow.

It was also a pleasure flying with you guys on Wednesday and Thursday.  It's been a long time since I have flown with Billy, Bobby, Alan, Derek, and Jose.

It thrills me to see Bill Werwage in the "line up" and I have my fingers crossed for his success.

I see people my age out there climbing mountains and zip lining and here I am feeling good about myself because I got my leg through my underwear without losing my balance

He has that competitive edge we all need.  If only he could find someone much younger to get them to the top.  Having fun,  DOC Holliday
