No juniors?
Bob Hunt
At least one junior has been spotted at the field today. Gabe and I landed in Houston late last night. Juniors don't fly in the qualifying rounds, which is why you didn't see any junior names on the flight order. Tomorrow is the day.

Round 2 - Texas boys hanging in there!

Qualifiers: All three from our club made it - Whoppie!

Whoppie?????????? We have a similar word in English. Perhaps you mean "whoopee".
-
Whoppie??????????
Why not. One of them made the team.

Dave,
Does PAMPA actually have a FB page as implied by replies to my post above? My search turned up negative results AND no link to FB on PAMPA website.

Yes it does. It was started a long time ago but more recently Matt Colan sort of took over administering it and it has taken off pretty well I understand. I'm sorry I don't know how to navigate to it. I railed against facebook to my kids for too many years to partake of it now though I wish our PAMPA site well.

That scoresheet came up on my Face Book without even trying.
Congratulations to those who won an all expense trip to Muncie at AMA's expense.

If I hadn't posted the qualifying scores that Matt Texted me there would have been zero mention of the Team Trials in progress on this site and how many responses, good lucks, etc.? Virtually zero. Whose fault that is irrelevant. Personally I hate facebook. It is not a "chat" friendly format and it is totally not secure. But, we are losing members to it. I really miss the robust technical conversations but lately Stunthangar has become nothing but classifieds.
I can't say enough about Matt making the team. He gets so little practice time and having to rebuild his plane in August. All of that with a new baby. He will be a force to contend with at Worlds.

Who was that, Paul? Maybe you know something the rest of us need to hear.

Does this mean Matt Colan finally gets to represent the USA as a team member? I vaguely remember when he was a Junior and had to pass up the opportunity. so he could further his education. ???
