Did the Dallas contest get any flying in today or did the winds win?

The contest started early at 7:30 Sunday because of the wind forcast of 15 to 25mph with higher gusts.

Sunday they got the first round in under brutal wind conditions. Dale Gleason was the only one who braved a second flight and now he is deemed certifiably CRAZY! Saturday was hot and windy, Sunday was slightly less hot and even more windy.
The contest was very well attended with all the neighboring states represented in addition to NJ, and AZ. Food was great both days and everyone had a good time.

These Texans will flly in anything.  I was at the field one year when a mouse racer took off and made a half lap.   It was standing still about 4 feet from the surface.  The pilot finally decked it and called it quits. H^^
