Model Aviation again
« on: April 17, 2022, 09:27:39 PM »
Got an E-Mail from the AMA that printed version would be late by several weeks and that it is available on line.   Tried the link in the E-Mail and it wouldn't recognize my login.  Had to go to the real link:   www.modelaircraft.org  to get the magazine.  It is now in a new format that made it easier for me to read and set up so you can skip sections.   I'm probably one of the few that read or scan a magazine cover to cover.   But, found a tip for some thing I have been throwing in the trash.  The Wal-Mart has the little mini pies in little boxes with aluminum pans.  It said tape the boxes together to put pens, pencils, scissor and sharp knives in.  The aluminum pans can be for small parts or mixing epoxy.   My favorite pies are pecan and pumpkin. In the morning, I skim through new SH posts, often reading the first and last sentence.  This post went from "got an email from the AMA...." to "My favorite pies are pacan and pumpkin", compelling me to read the rest.  You got me, Doc  LL~ LL~ LL~

I get the magazine. It resides on the dining room table where my wife and I have our lunch most days. While talking, we look at magazines and chat about some articles or places to visit. I also get AOPA, EAA and other magazines which I also read in print. Yeah, I'm old school.

Civilian life is great. I’m waiting to start school in June at university of Colorado Colorado Springs. The biggest news is I won the UCCS chancellors award. It’s a $10,000 tuition grant for my academic success in previous college endeavors. My school is already paid for by the VA, so this grant saves you, the taxpayer, $10,000. You’re welcome ;D

Clara is no baby. She’s wrapping up second grade, and already has the attitude of a teenager. That also could be do in part to her last name. She flew in her first contest at an indoor meet a few weeks ago. Built a model herself… With close supervision of course.
