pic posting prob
« on: June 07, 2007, 07:55:49 PM »
I'm having problems posting pics.  I modified them so they are all smaller than 1 meg.  I posted one, the X1 photo.  I went back to the posting and hit modify and tried to post the second (under 1 meg) and it rejected the post saying it was over 1 meg.  Whatsup?

Hi Sam,

Actually it's all because of the picture having that fellow in the white shirt with you!  **) **) **)

Naw.... he's one of my really, really favorite people! Wish Tom would drop in more often!

Seriously, I wish I could help with the picture problem, but I don't know the software at all that Robert is using!

Sam;

  Try to modify it again, I just modified mine to add two more pictures. The first two times did the same to me, but the third time it accepted them.

I'm thinking the limit is one meg PER POST not per picture.  If so all the pics together cannot exceed a meg.

I am going to repost the same picture that you posted only I have shrunk the file size from 829kb to 40kb. Generally you can shrink a picture quite a bit and not lose much in quality. I use a free program that you can down load from this site http://www.irfanview.com/. I also changed the size of the picture from 1814x1361 to 783x587 which is about as large as you can see on this site. The smaller file size is also much better for those who are on a dial up connection as they load so much faster.

       Sam,

       Another program you can use to post pictures is Google PICASA2. It is easyer
to use than "irfanview" and it is a free download.
