Wooden or plastic? The early ones were wood. Also, standard or Hot Rock? I have access to boxes of them.

The smaller one. I think it may have been the Hot Rock, but I haven't used either one for decades.

Oddly, the smaller one provided less sensitivity, so calling it the "Hot Rock" showed a total lack of CL stability and control technology. Great name, though!

They came in grey too. I think in the mid -70's they switched.

That is what he has a picture of now in his inbox.  Funny you had mentioned a grey handle as I have not seen many of them.

Come on Larry...quit being such a cheapskate....I have an EZ Just Hot Rock (the smaller) and an EZ Just, along with a three line set up and a nifty plane holder over in the Stunthanger classifieds....and the proceeds go to Sparky to keep the site up and running....

Thank you one and all. I hope to make an exponential version if the geometry works out.  H^^

Larry, I think the provenance of the name was due to the intention that it be utilized on "hot" ships like Team Racers and speed ships, etc.  Remember, it was produced during the era that "stunt ships" needed all the control throw you could input to do the "tricks".  The era where we all built Ringmasters with 90 degrees of elevator throw driven by a 1/2" long control horn and the "big" EZ Just to get all that deflection just as quick as possible.

Fortunately, most of us learned over the next several decades that such geometry wasn't really the way to go for "precision" aerobatics!
