No, not Sneeker airfoil..   The tail is something we wil probably play with to get the cg and feedback to handle the way we want it..

Jim lived down the road in Midland, Tx.....Have known him a long time...

Watched Jim race The Chaparral 1 in Mansfield as a Toddler, later met him at Green Valley as a young one turned loose in the padlock. I had to play tool fetcher over the fence for Dad as us little people were not allowed in the pits while Hot..But when I could sneak by the Pit Stewards..LOL!

Hope to make it to the museum one day. He was one of the many influences that made me think and dream.

Tell Him to static balance the wing next time!LOL!

I didn't know that Jim was involved with the Chaparral 1. When I think of the car I immediately think of Jim Hall.

Tom, I don't follow what you mean.  We are talking about Jim Hall.  Jim is an old modeler, friend and customer who lived in Midland, Tx., 95 miles from our shop when it was in Lubbock.  One time in the 1960's he showed up at our place in a Chevy, powered by a Wankel, rotary engine.  GM had just bought the rights to the engine and he was doing test for them at his track. The Midland club still flies at his track as far as I know....

Riley,
I missed one sentence above. And as I said, I always associate the Chaperell with Jim Hall.

It has been announced that Jim Hall will be honored by the Road Racing Drivers Club (RRDC) April 12t prior to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Got my wood order yesterday. I plan on cutting fins, tips. and stabilator tomorrow. As soon as I get the ribs and other pieces will get cracking. But not using crack. lol.

I have finished the computer work and the parts should be ready next week. We will have 2 flying as development airplanes before Riley can release the drawings.

Laser parts have been made for the 2 prototypes.

Larry informed me that so far the parts are "falling together". I will be at VSC for a few days, and I will have surgery on the other eye next week. My build of the Stunt Wing will be held up about a week.

These airplanes will point out if any changes are to be made. Then everything is up to Riley.
