The seller had a NIP hemi head and stuffer back plate also that was being bit up pretty high. This was an auction seller's dream! Two guys that both wanted the item real bad! I have a NIB Fox .35 Ceramic and an ABC version. I wonder what they would bid up to on those?
Type at you later,

Yep, saw that too. Think it went for 90.00. Not too bad. LOL

I think almost all of my run Fox 35's are of this same version.

I never get bids like that even after I dust off a new engine. In fact the last time I sold some thing it cost me money. HB~>

I used varnish.

Looks like the two that bid the item up, bailed. Now he has it listed as buy it now for 250. This is nuts!

Hello Mr. Clean et al:
The Fox .35 Blackhead looks like my 1958 Fox Combat Special! Mine is a great running engine with lots of power! To a collector, it may be a bargain.
Good luck,
Frank McCune

Ya, at work at a glance it looked like the run of the mill 35. What, me look at an intake? But then we're not even supposed to get ebay there thanks to our filters so the little picture I got was surprising anyways. So sure I jumped the gun having seen more then my fair share of honest, original baby bee product engines listed for 100 bucks and figured this was just more of the same.
mea cuppla cup cakes I was wrong.
But I still have a bunch of blacker heads coated in varnish. Now quit assaulting me with the facts. <=

The Fox Blackhead is the original "Combat Special" and with the renewed interest in "Vintage Combat they are likely increasing in value if they're in good condition. Right now $40.00 for a good one in running or "like new" condition would probably be a bargain. I have a couple of them and paid a little more than that for a NIB one, and have been offered more! It was the primary Combat engine used before the 36X came into being!

Thanks for that info Randy. This one comes from a fellow modeler who had a stroke and can no longer fly. Damn shame really. He moved away to be near his daughter after his stroke and I miss him. We flew together and had lots of fun.
Seems like something or other is happening to all of us doesn't it!
Tight lines, Jerry

So true Jerry. I lost too many that I helped get going again.
