I just tried to get on the forum and got every thing but the Ringmaster control site. I thinking it may have run its course. Really not much was posted there the last time I had it up.

Thanks, that is what I thought also. Manny many moons ago there was discussion on the site of a Super Giant Ringmaster that somebody was kitting. That is what I am looking for information on. I know Pat king makes one but I seem to think the one on the Brothe hood site was a better design.

I think your searching for the Ringmaster 1000, originally built by Bill Gruby as I recall. Pretty sure that both Pat King and Pat Johnston offered plans. Just guessing but Johnston's may be more related to Bill's design and King's are likely his own work.

BOTR bellied up completely, it is sadly no longer in existence. However, about 2 or 3 years ago, it seemed it was only me a one or two others who were posting. The rest of the posters had all disappeared. So, it is understandable why the plug was pulled. It was no longer feasible for the webmasters to keep pouring money into, to maintain.

I think it would be worthwhile to do. The Ringmaster has a good following, starting from the days of old time stunt to now, making it timeless. Plus the design has been the basis of many variants, powered by all engine sizes from Cox .010 Tee Dee to beyond .65 engines, 2 & 4 stroke glow, gassers, electric and even a Dynajet powered one.

Has anyone proposed it to Sparky for his thoughts?

Well, since the Ringmaster is an OTS legal model, you could just move discussions there and people would know where to look for it. I don't think that even some thread drift or OT discussion about later variants would offend anyone.

Ken Cook posted a video and some info on it several months back, may be 6 months back on the Cox Engine Forums I think. The pilot had it doing loops, wingovers, 8's, inverted all under pulse jet power. I'd never seen a stunting Dynajet model before until I saw the video.

I tried just now to locate it on YouTube without luck, don't remember if it was posted it there or Vimeo, etc. May be Ken Cook can pipe in and give us the skinny on it.

Dan Banjock of the Philly Flyers has had a couple. Should be lots of YouTube video of him flying it at the NATS in the evening and at the Brodak cpntest. Some one else has done one also but I can't think of who it was.

In this case I was mistaken, thought it was a Ringmaster and Dan McEntee is correct, builder and pilot is Dan Banjock. (Older I get, seems the less brain cells I retain.

) Couldn't find the particular video Ken pointed out (that I video captured), but found another one that is similar, posted only two weeks ago.

It is a short video, 3 minutes 42 seconds long. In the other video I just mentioned, with a closer view of the pit crew powering it up, aircraft appears to be based on a Sig Skyray with an A-10 like profile fuselage and tricycle landing gear. Pulse jet is mounted to the bottom of the fuselage with a portion of the lower fuselage cut away for ground clearance. It has a single rudder conventionally mounted.

With this type of arrangement, it would be possible to come up with a Ringmaster variant done is similar fashion. (Or, Flitestreak, may be even an SU-25 Frogfoot, etc.)

That's probably at Brodaks. And his plane is much more substantial than a Skyray. He always flies it at Brodaks in the evening and we always get a charge out of it. But you better wear hearing protectors!

I think Dan has gone through 2 or 3 models and has had a crash I think. From what I have seen in videos and photos, the model is a basic stunt model with a generous wing and tail. The fuselage is designed to accommodate a VERY LARGE fuel tank. I think I read that it take 18 ounces of fuel to do the pattern!! Keep in mind he is flying this a lot longer that a speed run would be and a typical sport jet flight takes a fair amount of fuel. It is a work out for him to fly, and I know he ain't gettin' any younger, so I wonder how many more years he will be able to hang on to that thing!!??

Dan: he practices with a giant sized Flight Streak that almost pulls him off the ground when he does a wing-over! I think that is his exercise program to stay sharp and ready to fly the ACME rocket ship. It is piloted by Wile E Coyote by the way....

I think I'm going to ask Mark Weiss if PAMPA wouldn't apply for a Federal grant from Dr. Fauci to clone about a dozen copies of Banjock to save modelairplanedumb. Watcha think?

The above video was filmed at Huntersville a few years ago. He had the same plane here just a few weeks ago and flew it at lunch time. I did not stay to see it. I told him quite a long time ago about my friend and I flying a Stunt Wagon with a dynajet back in 1960. We did loops but the run was only about one minute long on 6 ounces of fuel. We never had any problem starting the jet.

Samuel Londke is the son of Mike Londke who is a member here. They live down in the Tennessee area. That is mike in the lower right hand corner of the picture videoing the flight with his phone, I do believe. Sam and his Dad have a jet they fly for at least sport if not in sport jet class. They fly combat , stunt and just about anything with lines and a handle.

Maybe that is the latest video and not a older one as I said. I did not stay for the lunch entertainment. I watched all the morning flights and it started out calm and got very windy as the morning went on.

How could you have missed Sam? I have watched him grow on this forum, especially when he had that curly hair. Finally got to meet him at Brodaks and he is tall. We didn't get to talk too much.

I am a relative new comer to Stunt Hangar, haven't met or communicated much with the community, except for a brief face-to-face time with the C/L community in Albuquerque through Ron Cribbs 7 years ago, and of course with you a couple times while visiting the grand kids. Before spent most of my time in Brotherhood of the Ring, Stuka Stunt, RC Groups, RC Universe, Cox Engine Forums, and a few other venues (Yahoo Groups, etc.) that are no longer around.

So, rediscovering CL after a 50 year hiatus 10 years ago,

(which compared with others I was dabbling

), I'm lost as a goose when it comes to most of the CL community here, unfortunately.
