Post by: RandySmith on September 28, 2016, 07:36:15 PM
Hi All

The EVOLU\TION is kitted , I am looking at doing  the   Classic   or   Novar  next... what do you think?

These are  both  50 to 65 size  ships  at  near 700 sq in

Randy    I will post  both pics

Well, IF I had the $$$, I'd buy the Novar. Alas, I don' have much dinero, Senior! But I'd vote for the Novar anyway. I'm sure it's honest!

The Classic is DEFINITELY the nicer looking ship.

Randy both are nice but the cockpit/canopy treatment of the Classic I think is different and appealing.  Question: somewhere in a closet I have a set of plans about 15-18 years old of one of your ships with a name similar to Novar but came during the .40 era and I think is smaller than this one.  What was that?  It looks about the same to my memory.

I like both ,what I would like to see is the Classic engine cowel and  vertical fin on the Novar.

Hi Dave

That would be the  NOVA, it is the  sister ship to these  and is the same size, bubble  canopy style  Airplane

I like the lines of the Novar best.  Also I think the vertical stabilizer (fin) on the airplane in the photo differs slightly from the one on the plan.
For what it's worth I personally prefer the one in the photo!

Very nice looking airplane!

I have so many kits to build now I'm not sure I'm up to another one right now, but for what it's worth the Novar with the fin outline of the one in the photo gets my vote.

Both beautiful.  My vote would be for the NOVAR, just love the lines.
