when you should just step away from your model? Everything you do turns to crap?

My ARF Nobler was all blue and needed something on the wing. I took out the kit decals and cut out the NOBLER decal. I put two dots with a marker where I wanted it to line up. After getting ready to stick it on I change my mind and used the leading edge as a guide. Did not take a second glance at the dots. One ended up under the decal. Great, now I just need to add more dots and dashes to spell out S.O.S in Morris code !

I then moved on to the muffler.

I was removing the muffler with a Phillips-head screw driver and the driver slipped off and I punched a hole in the side of my cowl. Great now I have a hole to run my pressure line thru. ( I just had it exiting out the heat venting and no extra hole required) Now I have a new hole.

I ran the line, and then put the model on the table. Turn off the lights and walked away.

  Don't fret none Paul. A little alcohol will probably take the marker off, maybe even a few drops of fuel. As to the muffler issue, I ALWAYS replace any phillips or straight blade screws with socket head screws to eliminate that possibility. Most any muffler that has metric screws to mount it is about the correct size hole to run a 4-40 tap into, and there is a better assortment of 4-40 socket head cap screws out there to use than metric.

Go to the fridge...pop open a bottle of----------? BUD...or pour yourself a STIFF ALCOHOL drink...KICK BACK AND CONTEMPLATE!
or just maybe wait... RELAX...don't forget to JUST BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETH! When the ALCOHOL wears off...repair optionals should just magically appear?

   Carefully take the point of an Exacto knife and lift the edge of the decal. Get out you heat gun or iron and gently heat the decal until it lifts off. Clean off the spot, then relay the decal. Just a little time and patience is all that is required.

its a pretty easy fix  - not sure why you'd leave it there.  The cowl a bummer but I you were flyin electric - it wouldn't happen

Removing that dot may be the trim feature you have not adusted yet???  Might be worth a try

Just take a spot of the blue monokote and put over the dot. done.

Well Paul it must be the week for the dark blue Nobler.  I poked a hole in the outboard wing on mine this week and I do not have a scrap of that color Monokote anywhere.  Soooo I am going to have to order a whole roll of that just to patch the hole....so don't feel bad.

Yea but if he puts a decal over it no one will ever know. If he puts on scrap monokote someone will know he is covering a hole up.

  There is a marketing idea in all of this. Peal and stick MonoKote patches that look like BandAids! You could also just buy a piece of trim Monokote that is the same color, and it's peel and stick and very thin. Smiley faces come to mind also!

I've met people that never have this kind of day -- but they're dull and boring, or irritating as all get out, or both.  (I had a manager once who never missed a day of work for being sick, ever, and really couldn't understand how it could happen to anyone else.  Since this was when my boys were at that "disease vector" age, it was a constant source of irritation).

I got a good laugh out of that Tim....I went through the same things with my kids years ago.   I do like the idea of a peel and stick bandaid....  or bullet holes...

that's how Ikilled a "stratocat" trying to do an outside loop.  took it up high, cranked full down, got skeerd half way tried to recover just in time to pile straight in   jim moral: always finish what you start!!!  jim
