It looks like a Midwest Super Mouse utilizing radial mounting.

With Ken's mention, found an E-Bay photo of the kit.

Paul Taylor's 1st suggestion is: https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=10651 Simple Simone by Bill Netzeband from Air Trails Annual 1959, 36in span recommended a .15 to .19 engine.

Outerzone plan thumbnail.

Being of Bill Netzeband fame, would have been a nice but simple trainer aircraft and easy to handle with longer lines.

What is shown is a Mouse racer, not really a speed plane. The Mouser that Netzeband designed is called a Cat's Paw. It would do better with a flat-bottomed airfoil, but with a strong motor it's ok. I like the shapes on the Midwest SuperMouse, but I've never seen one fly. Thanks for posting the picture!
