Airplane pictures? In flight pictures?  Pilot pictures?

And for us BOM-obsessed 'mericans, maybe some comments on who built, as well as who's flying?

(A link to some local report, particularly if it's in English, would be cool.  Even if it's some guy who doesn't know how to spell "color").

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

I'm not surprised if there's more coming.

This:

Anyway, he's flying with his #2 ship, and he's doing QUITE well, as you can see above...
Richie is a very tough contestant!

MaxBee with a different fin/rudder is a possibility. The number on the wing must belong to a Czech contestant: not Igor.

From Pavel Benes (CZE). Maybe Igor can give contact details, I haven't.
The best flying Caudron lookalikes ever were designed by Gilbert Beringer. Unreal cornering ability.

Have been judging all week, but while (or maybe: because of) being very concentrated on the job, the whole event passed by in a blur.
We were 'dry roasted' in temperatures that got progressively higher and peaked on Thursday and Friday at  40+  deg.
I'm home now and at ~17 deg. it feels cold.
I'd love to give a report, but I only have very fragmented memories.

But I DO play Stunt and I DO fly Bluegrass.

I am sorry that I've been late with pictures and information, but on place in Hungary where i take a rent it was very slow wifi and i was not able even to open stunt ; ( .....

Richi crash the model in second round. He lost line tension, during figure square...and simply was not able to save the model.
The weather was terrible hot about 40 degr. Most of the competitors goes on field since 5 morning to practice, and maybe that it's the reason to have 4 crashed models - France, Spain, Itally and Latwania in whole contest...the weather in afternoon and lunch time when was the official starts was already changed. It has termic wind and always blowing from two sides. That was good enough reason, some of the competitors not even able to make four leave or hour glass ; ) In my opinion about 10 people from 43 competitors / or little bit more / were with electric power train. The rest used to work with piston engines - Discovery Retro or Stalker engines - 10, 12 and 15 kub. / Maybe also other but the notes which I take that was the answer /.  In the last round the difference between number 2 , 3 and 4 was only 3 or 4 points.
So far the contest end without crashes ; ))) and the results as well.
Igor Burger - 1 , Richard Kornmayer - 2 , Alex Schrek - 3
Team in F2B - 1 place for Russia / they take the special cup of Compostella / , second place Ukraine and 3-th place Slovakia.

Uploaded with ImageShack.com

I just want to make last note that in official opening ceremony we keep one min. silence in a memory of mr. Compostella!

Thanks.
Googling for the Czech guys that I saw on the score cards, I found the facebook page (  ~^: ) of Zbyněk Kravčík. He also seems to have a (new?) racer style ship (with number "007"). His FB photos include some construction photos of "006". Tania has "007" in a couple of photos.

Thanks guys for congratulation, Tania thanks for photos and especially coaching ... I promise I will learn trianges better next time :- ))) ... and also thanks judges roasted from all sides :- ))) ... I really do not know how they survived all days here ... especialy when we (pilots) did not want tents close to circles

Yes that model belongs to Czech flyer Pavel Benes. It is basically Max with modified fuselage, the same as models of Zbynek Kravcik, and Alex Schrek. Richie had also the same just wing was little swept forward, but he say that usual Max flies better especially in wind, so he was disapoinded after crash of his Max. Fortunately we did not have windy day during ECh, so it was not so bad for him and I saw the made it flying very well. Alex had also backup model, but it was the same model placed 2nd in Pazardzhik, so it was not big handicap. Jiri Vejmola had his very old blue model of his construction.

Condition were fair (fair between contestants, not fair to our bodies :-P ) ... light wind with light turbullence at noon on grass field with surface litle better han that in Pazardzhik. Those who were there WCh 2010 know. Except few crashes all was good. I personally saw 2 crashes, one was due to failure in fuselage construction of ne model of Alex and Richie crashed in loops in calm wind with little side vind due to lost line tension. I had also litle technical problems because of free ESC rouing in fuselage during flight, what made minor CG movemend so I saw "something wrong" but I needed several flights to find eason. Afterward was all OK.

And yes, we flew also Gee Bee of Tania. It was outside in little wind, but that wind was enough to stop model from climbing, but soon I found it is still flyable on upwind side of circle. It was very dificult to some flyers to do loops with such slow model on upwind side, but son most of them learned it ... especialy those two from Netherlands :- )))))) ... looks like they understand wind very well :- ))))))) ... and yes, that pretty lady explaining Gee Bee on those pictures is Tania :- )))
