To much delight of the AMA Expo attendees, Larry Renger has demonstrated his CL ET-1 electric trainer at this weekends AMA Expo. With a half hour each on Sat & Sunday Larry along with club members of the Knights of the Round Circle hosted hands-on indoor CL flight training to the expo attendees with outstanding success.
This easy to fly trainer was specially modified to fly on 15' lines indoors. Hopefully Larry will chime in with more specific details for those interested in the adjustments made to perform this task. As expected the ET-1 trainer was much a delight to young and old alike with numerous successful flights suffering nothing more than having a prop pop-off every now and again due to an occasional hard landing. The crowd was thrilled with this easy to fly trainer and we're hoping that the AMA was equally thrilled and will grant us more time for next year's expo.
More information can be found here on stunt hangar for the plans and technical specs by searching ET-1 trainer. The club offers laser cut kits and the complete power systems that can be obtained through Eric Rule at RSM Distribution.
Good job Larry and crew; Larry Renger, Andy Borgogna, Mike Costner, Mike Jones, Tom Collier and yours truly Mike Alurac. You guys make our club and the CL world proud!

Wow that's great news. The only thing that would make it better are a few photos.
Way to go Larry and crew!

Aside from getting a bit dizzy after a few pilots it was a ton of fun. ;D The planes worked great and the kids (and one adult) all had fun. A couple of them had experience and flew the planes on their own. If your club has the opportunity to do shows I really recommend putting together an ET-1 and get the kids in the circle. One thing I have noticed is getting the first kid in the circle takes some coaxing, but once one flies then they all want to fly. y1

Great find Norm! Thank you for sharing this link. It's pretty cool just to see how quickly we get these kids flying.
