Eric Rule Rules!
« on: June 28, 2011, 03:38:51 PM »
I just had a really nice experience with RSM Distributing.  This is the first time I've ordered from them and I ordered two Renger 1/2A handles.  I kind of had to screw up my courage to place the order because the only shipping available to Canada was USPS Priority at $24.95 - more than the price of the handles.  But they were what I wanted so I placed the order.  Shortly after, Eric Rule emailed me saying that since they fit into  such a small package he could send it package air mail instead of priority for reduced shipping cost.  This afternoon I got notification that they had been shipped and guess what the shipping charge was?  A whole 5 bucks!  Eric is one class act.

They say that you get only one chance to make a first impression and Eric made a fabulous first impression on me.

I've been told that Eric is a mislocated Canadian, so he probably has 'sperience shipping stuff to relatives, and is willing to look out for youse guys on the "storage fees". Plus, he's a real good fella.  y1 Steve

Yup ,

I have to agree with the previous posts ...

Mr. Rule looks out for us Canadians and everyone else I'm sure .

He's one of the few on line retailers that actually sends an email out , if there is a problem , or if there is an item the purchaser has left out of an order .

Top notch , all the way .

Yup.  He is originally from Canada.  I'm not sure about mislocated but definitely relocated.  He came from practically 'down the street' from where I live - I'm in Hamilton on the southern side of the western tip of Lake Ontario and he's from Burlington on the northern side.  He used to fly with some of the guys from the Balsa Beavers in Toronto that I hang around with from time to time.

Well that is Canada's loss and a gain for the good ole USA.  He has been a gentleman to me since the first day I met him. H^^

I can't say enough good things about Eric and his business practices. I was speaking with Eric at VSC last year and he told me of a fellow who had ordered a kit from him and was either not advanced enough to build it or was over whelmed with it. He called back to Eric several times to complain about various things he didn't like about the kit. Eric told him to just send the kit back and he would get a full refund. Eric never got upset with the fellow. My gracious wife bought me an electric set up 2 years ago from Eric. I have build a profile plane and have the electric unit installed on it. Then  before I could go fly it one of the batteries went bad. I sent them back to Eric and he checked them out and he had the factory change out the bad battery. All just for the cost of shipping. We do have some great cottage industry suppliers in this hobby.

I mostly deal with Eric from the design side.  The man is extremely sharp, and works incredibly hard to produce the kits he does.  Also he REALLY cares about design accuracy and kit quality.

Wicked sense of humor, too, eh?   LL~
