Hello

I have ENYA Products on the way in, These will include All ENYA engines,  NVAs, and ENYA Glo PLugs
I will include these on my website and in my new Catolog  soon.
Look for some new products  including  a  C|L  ENYA 53 4 stroke

That is great news. MRC did such a poor job of promoting the Enya line. I am very partial to Enya engines, and have been since I bought my first 29 IV BB and 35 III BB in the PX in the Spring of 66. I wish you all possible success in selling the Enya engines.

That .53 4C might have real merit.  Way, way back I flew the original Imitation for several years with the Enya .46 4C that (based on later experience) appears to have been built on the same case as the .46.  I'll tell you how far back that was, the airplane that I won the '86 Nats with was built specifcally for that engine because I liked it so much on the Imitation.  Of course, I screwed up by putting a brand new .46 with a different prop on the new airplane and it didn't pan out too well.  Ended up with an ST .46 and a bunch of lead in the (short) nose when it won the Natss.

Wow, that means I was flying four stroke in the early '80s!  Holy cow.  I was almost a trail blazer.  I could'a been ... oh, never mind.

My point is that, had I known then what I know now about props and tanks for four strokes, I've no doubt I could have made the .46 work great in that airplane.  The same case with the larger displacement might be terrific.  I've still got the airplane, pretty beat up and with a Randy Smith VF .46 and pipe in it (probably all gummed up by now).  MIght be fun to stick the .53 in it and see what happens.

I have 3 enya engines a new 53 a XZS40 and a 5224 35. All run great. I think they have been sadly overlooked for Stunt. Ask Bob Zambelli about the 53 4 stroke. He had one on a 76 ounce Red Baron. I saw the flight videos of this and it flew great.

Of course, you know that if these Enyas last like the old ones, you will be limited in selling replacements.  They will never wear out!!  They are about the only engines I know of that *might* last longer than a PA. LOL!!!!!!

I think the problem in the USA "back in the day" was that for stunt, everyone wanted an engine that ran like a Fox, and for engines requiring power and speed, people were trying all the newest products during a period of fast-paced engine development. Many who already used Enya, continued to enjoy them.

Thanks for your replies. The  ENYA  engines and  parts, Glow Plugs came in today.
I got in both types of 60s  CXS Pro and  60-lll Ringed
SS35s
35 lll
29 IV

SS25S

As a friend of mine from many years ago said, "The only thing harder than breaking in an Enya is wearing it out." They are superbly made and competitively priced.

I just checked my engine storage and found my Enya 35 Model 5224. It is version with square intake- and is currently setup with an R/C carb. It is very low time engine- used on R/C trainer - not been run for at least 25 years- I'd consider conversion back to C/L- but would need a suitable venturi , NV& Spray bar, and a tounge muffler- are these parts readily available at reasonable cost? Would I have a good "stunt run" with 2/4 break like my proven Fox 35 ? Similar power?

I just was given a 29 today by a friend of mine so now have 5224 in 29 and 35. 35 Square venturi and 29 round venturi. Cant wait to get them on the bench. HB~>

HI Lyle

I will have to check if those parts are a stock item for ENYA, those engines were made many years ago. I will let you know what I find.
The ENYA 35 doesn't have a FOX 35 stunt run and has a more power run, You would end up most likley using s low pitched prop for the 35, depending on what venturie you replace the carb with
