Title: Enya 35 (5224) & 45 (6001) ABC sets
Post by: Brian Gardner on September 10, 2024, 03:46:51 AM
Hi All,

Just testing the waters so to speak - would there be much interest in me doing ABC piston/liner/rod/pin sets for either the Enya 35 (5224) and Enya (6001)?

Don't get me wrong - I'm still way behind and can't keep up with production of all the current motors...this is more a bit of forward lanning.

Brian

Finally ran the FP 40 Liner , in the FSR .40 .

12 heat cycles , then dragged a Magnum thru a breeze . Was shutting off downhill , which a stock FSR wont do .
Early Days yet - but looking good . In the Caudron now .

One needs to relieve the top of the backplate , to clear . Which shows the Timing could go down , dropping the liner .
Havnt Measured to see how much . Recomended for any FSR 40 opperator . The B. G.  FP 40 P/L set up .

45 FSR sets timed at 130 - 110 wouldnt be a bad idea . Theyd fit Magnum GP 44s too , without the piston / trans port .

Only gotta Enya 29 & 45 .

Dropping the liner would be limited by the piston height vs stroke not stroke and skirt length vs back plate diameter.

This thread is about whether people want me to make sets for the Enyas. Keep it relevant.

Hello We have three Enya 45 6001's on models currently and a 35 ,they are all very good stunt engines from the factory. An ABC set up would probably preform a lot better then the twin ring versions, with less drag and probably run cooler . I would buy a couple of sets.

Thanks Brian for helping keep our old engines running better then ever!

Regards Gerald

I will take one of each. There are 2 Enya 45 6001, the plain bearing Iron P/L and the 45 BB 6001 with Aluminum Piston Ring. The block seems to be the same but I am not sure if the P/L have the same fit for both.

What I really want is an ABC set for my Enya SS50.

Hi Martin,  I have added you to the list. The 45 that I am using for sample/measurement purposes is a 6001 45BB twin ball bearing. I don't have a plain bearing version to compare compatibility.

For any engine/new project I need sufficient orders to do a production run of more than 20 units. So I can't help you with the SS50 at this point sorry.
