Looking for a book.
« on: July 06, 2020, 08:09:48 AM »
Does anyone have a copy of the book "Tom's Techniques"  from the Harry Higley series.  I have a friend in Australia who wants a copy but can't access one.  He did find one on line but they wouldn't mail it to Australia.   Let me know if you have one you will part with.

Alan,

Amazon had one for sale 6-8 months ago.....the only ones they had for sale were used
but I bought it anyway.  I don't remember the price.   It was in pretty good condition,
but obviously not like new.

This volume is about covering with plastic films (which I assume is the one you are
interested in), and was Copyrighted 1984, but it was highly recommend  by some one,
perhaps on this forum, and it is indeed a wealth of information.

I don't know if Amazon would ship to Ausy or not, but that is something you could figure
out.  It would be worth the effort.

Cheers.

Here is an idea. :!

Why not order the book and have it sent to you?  Then, when you get it, you could send it to your friend.  Might be more productive than asking someone to volunteer a book from their own library.

True Keith.  If someone just had a copy they haven't looked at since the mid 80's, I  just thought that if they wanted to help a fellow modeler out.  I saw the one on Amazon but balked when the shipping cost went from $3-4 for shipping to the US to $40 shipping to Canada.
