Hallo Jim,

  55 foot, 0.012 lines sound just about right to me. I have flown Peacemakers of similar power on anything from 50 to 60 foot lines. The 60 foot ones only in calm weather! Your suggested line set up is what I normally use for Oliver powered Peacemakers.

Unless it is a new schnuerle Enya .15 it may not handle it. GMA powered his with an Oliver Tiger diesel but recommended a .25 if using glow. Of course that was a baffle glow such as a Fox .25.

      Sorry I misread your post, I missed the 'full fuselage' bit. I have built one full fuselage Peacemaker stunt. To be honest, I was not overimpressed. It didn't fly too well, even with Oliver Tiger power. If my memory is correct, it has a slightly larger span and hence more wing area. I never did get it to fly to my satisfaction. It didn't turn as sharp as the profile Peacemaker and was sluggish with the power available. With the engines you mention, I think you will have the same problems that I did. More power is required and I never did uprate the engine power. Could be that a .25 glow would do the trick.
  I think that the problem was not due to anything that I did. Other people have made the same comments to me about their versions. Maybe the wing loading is too high (dubious) or the Oliver power was insufficient. I just lost interest in my model and have always built the profile when in need of a good "blast".

The full fuselage kit by Top Flite used a formed balsa fuselage and the typical formed LE wing. I got a partially built one at a club auction. Upon a closer inspection, the ribs did not fit well and the builder had run the leadouts out the wrong wing. When I looked at the fuselage, many of the parts were missing, including the formers. Fortunately, I have a set of the magazine plans that I bought when the full-fuse Peacemaker was published. I proceeded to build a fuselage the GMA way and had misplaced the kit parts so I couldn't find the tail section. In a mixture of disappointment and disgust, I sat the whole project aside. I'll get back to it some day.

If you build from plans, the fuselage is built with parts jigged together for maximum strength and minimum weight...probably because GMA was also a FF flyer. You could simplify it but I chose to build it as designed.

If I remember correctly, GMA said that one built by a friend flew better because it had a simpler (lighter) finish. I THINK it was also powered by a glow .25.
