OK, Steve and Bill - what can you make of these?
-
And these?
-
More!

The diesel’s a Mills .75, or replica thereof (might be an Irvine - hard for me to tell from the photo, but the serial number and its location would probably help). No idea about the rest, I’m afraid.

Thanks for the replies - I'm really learning a lot.
I came across an interesting Cox engine.
Anyone know about it?

That's the Cox RR-1 .049. It is the only rear rotary valve .049 Cox built, I believe. It came out sometime around 1958 or 59 and was fairly expensive compared to other Cox .049 engines...............but that engine was a screamer. A friend of mine bought one around 1960, and I swear that engine would outrun just about every other Cox .049 I've ever seen. They were not produced for very long and because of that and their performance characteristics, they have become collector's items. It is not uncomon the see them on Ebay, used and selling for $150 - 175 and more. Sure would would like to have one today....they are real screamers. .... y1 D>K H^^

is Replica , Currie ( muncher ) import , Not Irvine made . Were some imported as Irvine or somesuch tho.
Casting looks to soggy for Burford / Taipan / Doonside , otherwise it looks like Mk 1 doonside . :-\

A found a number of engines, both glow and Diesel with the letter "T" on the side.
Anyone know the brand and country of origin?

Taipan, from Australia. This was Gordon Burford’s company - same fellow who did the earlier Sabre and Glo Chief engines you have.

Thanks again, Guys for the very helpful info.
Try this: two more Diesels - Fit and Fok.
Where are they from?
-
FOK was Hungarian. I sold a little FIT last year - pretty sure it was Czech, from memory.
