Title: Engine Identity?
Post by: Robert Zambelli on January 30, 2020, 08:38:06 AM
I can't rememeber if I've posted these before but just in case, here they are.
I unpacked a large box of engines from around twenty years ago and found them.
They are based on the Cox TEE DEE 15, and are equipped with gear reduction and are fed by K&B carburetors.

Anyone know anything about them?
I don't think they're home built as the castings seem quite precise.
After they are (hopefully) identified, I will either sell them or donate them to the Brodak Museum.

Thanks for any help, Bob Z.

Bob Z I think donate BUT

you would be astounded at how much mockup, non running, multi cylinder Cox engines--- command at auction.....point is fakes, display pieces...not real engines....lots of J&B weld.......sheesh!

Thanks to all for the informative replies.

Fred - good point.
However, these engines appear to be NEW, with no sign of ever being mounted or run.
They turn freely and have excellent compression.

The twin is simultaneous firing while the radial appears to be sequential (four pulses per revolution)
They should make some interesting noise!!
Yes, I will run them both.

Bob...I gotta believe based on mock up Cox crap...If you have running video....each will command stupid high e-bay like the Datsun 240......(but do put a reserve) e-bay runs hot n cold......

I listed a $450 item with no reserve....lost my butt...had to ship it out for $49 bucks

........other auction for lot of 5 each   $168 buck Army radios PRC 127s with  bats n chargers--- got bidding war to ignorant levels ($2300)....seriously .....so ignorant in fact, that I contacted winning bid fire department and donated them.....GOTTA KEEP THE kARMA coming
