Engine ID
« on: June 10, 2021, 02:53:19 PM »
Found this in my photo folder for my book.
Anyone recognize it?
Looks like a Fox 35 converted to rear intake.

It's definitely a something converted to rear intake.  Kind of like a Model A engine with a Cragar head -- yes, you can do it, but is it really the shortest path to high performance?

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Bob, that be mine  Fox 35 with a Fox 29 RR crank ground down to fit the 35,S/T 29 rear backplate ASSBY. .the whole idea was to get rid of the weak link 35 crank. it was for Fox 35 speed but was outlawed before i could get it perfected.it needed a new head RAD

It's like showing up at a Chevette race with a Chevette body and Camaro running gear.  Yes, it's still a Chevette, but you're missing the point of the event.
