For all of you Primary Force folks out there, what size engines (GLO) are you guys using? I am talking about Mike Pratt's original PF.
I have an Enya .30 I am thinking about using but would like to know what yall may have on yours.
Thank you
Mike

Many years ago I had the opportunity to fly one of Mike's own P-Force--I believe it was the prototype--and if memory serves, he had an 25 FP on it. Flew REALLY well. Anything in the .25-.30 size range should do the trick.

Thank you Sean

I asked Mike Pratt when he delivered my PF in person. He said, "Fox 35 or OS LA 25 will fly it fine." I assume that would include the OS FP 20.
He also offers drawings for an electric conversion.

Thank you Steve.

A question guys from a customer of mine.
EDIT, answer found with search function :P

I use an OS LA46 on mine with APC 12-4 prop on 10% fuel.
-
OS 25FP on mine. APC 10-4 on SIG 10%. Flies it pretty well until the wind gets up.

I second the motion from Gary. I flew both the LA.25 and the FP.25 on mine, with giving the FP a slight edge on performance, using the same prop and fuel. I have since moved up to an OS.32 swinging a 11-4 APC Pro and LOVING it! I won quite a bit of hardware with mine, and it's on it's second covering job after the original stuff fell off. There are several threads on here about my exploits with the model. Still have it hanging ever at the ready in my garage along with a spare.
Type at you later,

Mike, check your e-mail.

Enya 30 would be a great choice.

I had excellent results using a Brodak 40 with bolly clubman 10.5x 4.5 prop. and home made chip muffler. Hard to go wrong on this plane , it just flys great.

Mike,
There are many engines that work great on the P/F. The Enye 30 should work just fine, is it the Enya a 30SS? One of the most overlooked engine is the K&b 28 Sportster C/L engine. The set up is really simple, bolt it on (after break-in) a 11x4" prop, 10% nitro, fly at 5.2 lap time, have a blast!!!

I ended up with a few Aero tiger .36's a couple of years back, so I stuck one on a Primary Force just for grins.

I built my PF from the short kit I got at VSC many years ago. Started out with Fox .35 Stunt and it was a great combo. Since it has been flown with a Brodak .25, LA .25, and Fox .25. The main engine is the LA .25 with 10-4 prop. For some reason the Brodak .25 did not perform no matter what prop I used. As Mikey says the little 30 should work great with the right prop for your area of the country. H^^

Hi All, I have two of these great planes and they are flying really well on Evo .36 engines using 10 11 11 fuel with 10 X 6 props! This truly is a fun airplane to enjoy Sunday afternoons with!

Hi Larry,
Without a dought, the AeroTiger 36 is a killer combo. Jim Hoffman was really hard to beat with his. Jim's P/F was only 36 ounces ready to go (from a short kit) and we flew it many times trying different props. The 10.5 X 4.5 under cambered was the beat, a close second was 11 X 4 N 3 blade Bolly.
We had a BLAST with it.
