Which engine would be the better choice? Both can made to balance the plane by moving the engine. I had a Twister powered by a HP .40 and it was a dream to fly. I do not know if I would be satisfied with as OS .35 Stunt engine.

The HP40 with my ABC stunt set in it would be magic in the Twister.

It it definitely a .35 size plane. Lots of guys fly it on an OS46LA. I fly one with a Cobra 2820 electric which is a 46 size motor. I think either is fine. The .35 on 58' .014 lines is more power/weight than we flew PA in the 70's so I would pick whichever one is the most reliable.

My Twister has an OS LA .40 in it, and it flies amazing.

.46LA on 58' .015. Anything else is just a toy.

What's your setup on the .40 LA/Twister? Prop, fuel, venturi size, muffler, weight and line size & length? #^ Steve

HP 40.
And try to obtain it with original, genuine venturi, with original one-side nozzle type needle assy. (I think MECOA offers it).

Actually, one of the engines you mentioned in the first paragraph of this thread is in my opinion a nearly perfect match for a Twister.
If you have a GOOD ONE... the OS35S is the perfect Twister engine!
