If you are getting into scale rubber make sure you join the Flying Aces Club. They are unapologetic throwbacks and really know how to have fun.

It'd be a long drive, but I bet you'd love their Nats held in Geneseo NY every other year (with their Non-Nats on the off years.)

Perhaps another good source of balsa??? Just have to find where the balsa filled ones go.

Oh great! Let's see: not only is it extremely costly to produce wind-powered electricity; all wind-power capacity has to have back-up for when the wind isn't blowing; it injures and kills tens of thousands of birds including endangered raptors; the towers/blades are eyesores; the blades are not recyclable; and, fina!ly, it drives up the cost of our precious balsa and makes it more scarce! So, how is this a great environmental technology?

Now, now, now, you're just supposed to cheer with excitement and proclaim "magnificent", and not actually notice that the Emperor (the environmental movement ) has no clothes.
