Post by: Paul Taylor on March 21, 2022, 12:33:26 PM
Does any know if the Cobra mounting holes are the same as a BadAss?

Yes I believe they are, and I think but I am not positive but you can also swap the mounts. The motors have to be from the same series.

Innov8tive Design web sight has all of the mounting demetons  for BadAss and Cobra motors. looking at the 2826 series The mounting holes on the motor mounts are different however the mounting holes on the motor are the same.  The center hole on the BadAss motor mounts are slightly bigger than the Cobra (12 vs 14 mm).  It is reasonable to surmise you could swap the motor mounts and make it work as a rear mount.  However you also need to look at motor length. As a front mount motors they should be interchangeable.  Every thing you ever wanted to know about the subject can be researched on the Innov8tive Design web sight.   D>K

Cobra and BadAss both share the standard square 25mm pattern for attaching the motor to the mounting plate.

Both brands specify a larger diameter mounting pattern for the larger diameter motors on the mounting plate to airframe interface.

The BadAss motor mount plate has oblong holes to allow for a range of acceptable options or, whoopsies.
