Stunt pattern as filmed by a drone.
« on: April 15, 2018, 09:42:57 PM »
Last November before I hung the plane up for the winter season, I had the opportunity to have one of my flights filmed by a friendly HD drone operator.  He saw us flying and asked if it would be ok if he filmed a flight.

It is an interesting perspective to watch a pattern from these angles.

While my pattern offers no competition for top level Walker Cup contention, hopefully it is something entertaining nonetheless.

Very nice Brent. I like the mountains in the background it adds to the depth of the video.

Those evil drones could actually be a helpfull tool for training. Have you tried to have it right at zenith, on top of the pilot?

Yeah, those mountains are almost as fastenating as the mountains around Tuscon Town.   That is what I miss traveling to and from the VSC. H^^

Been to Hill AFB on business numerous times while I was still working. Wish you guys were out flying when I was there. Would have made some of the time there more enjoyable. I eyeballed those fields every time I went there, but no one flying then.

I've been experimenting with this as well, this is our first attempt and will be trying again this season, I think this could be a very valuable  practice tool.
