I agree Ty! The last DVIII contest of the year and one of my most favorite contests to attend. The El Dorado area is beautiful and the drive up is some very nice scenery also. There are a lot of things for the ladies to do if they don't want to be stuck at the field all day- ole timey downtown with lots of shops, cafes, pubs, museums, historic homes, parks, etc. Like Joe says, the people are great and everyone enjoys just being there together having fun- they enjoy the fun and fellowship more than the flying I think. Oh! OH!, LET ME NOT FORGET- always another Ty story to be heard! He nevers runs out of'em and never repeats'em!
Also the "BootLegger", Gil Causey, is back competing after a couple of years lay-off and flying better than he has probably ever flown. So his flying is much better, but he still has a hard head! If I complement him too much, then he will have a big-hard head- better left simply "hard". Just joshing! Or is I?
