The yellow AT-6 any Idea where the plans/kit came from?
David Johnson

David,
That is one of Don Hutchison's profile warbird designs. The plans are available from Control Line Central. There is post in the vendor section on them: http://stunthanger.com/smf/index.php?topic=18770.0.

Had a great time at the contest and I'm really glad I made
the drive out from Big D early Sunday morning. Thanks to
everyone at the Model Aviators of South Arkansas club.

Looks like a fun contest.

Yep, it was close and I really couldn't tell much difference between our
flights. Considering that I'd flown a total of two flights since the Nats
I was pretty satisfied with the results. I did manage to win Pilots Choice
with the Furias 96; which I was very happy about, and surprised. I
thought Dale Gleason's Impact would win that.

Andy,
Yes, there are more. I took over 1,200 photos at the contest. It just takes time to find the best ones and re-size them to publish. I will try to post some more tonight.

One thing I always like to know in these types of posts is, who was flying what? I always like to put a person with a plane. For me, it adds more interest to the story.
-
Great pics. looking forward to seeing lots more.

Another great "South Arkansas Stunt Championship" completed. Sound simple and to the point? "Nay! Nay! I say." It takes a tremendous amount of planning and cooperation among a group of volunteers.
Tabulators: Rachel Wilson and Nan Beavers.
Judges: (Expert, Advanced) Joe Bowman and Doug Patterson.
Judges: (Intermediate, Beginner) Jason Cunningham and Billy Langford.
Pull Tester: Loyd Greer.
Runners: Logan Hicks and Shannon Greer.
The Club: Model Aviators of South Arkansas "MASA."
The "Kocher boys" for the wonderful coverage in pictures posted here on the site and for their generosity of the photos they passed out to the contestants.
The sponsors, for the wonderful items they donated for the meet.
Finally: The Contestants and their families that allow them to pursue the hobby.
Thanks to all..."Job well done!"
BTW... Congratulations to Mike Donovan; the 2011 "Profile Stunt Champion" for District VIII. (did someone get a pic?)

Wow, you guys are making me rather homesick for the wilds of South Arkansas.
While I am too many years removed from those parts, most of the names I do not recognize. I did see Mike Makepeace and David Roland mentioned. Mike's Dad was a very close friend and and a great teacher of what is possible in this passion we call toy airplanes. David's Father was and is a close friend from High School days in Louisiana. This very Stunt Forum reconnected us after nearly 60 years.
The pictures are great and it appears you folks have things pretty well in hand.
Continue continuing
Double Deuce aka Luke Roy EHS class of 53, I think
