Expensive! To say the least.

Could get a few "buddies" to chip in and share the project, if the kit is to be purchased.

Or, simply draw your own plans and scratch build one.

I've heard these "scale" kits were heavy.

If you do a little bit every day it will get done, or you can do it tomorrow.

Scale planes were heavy back in the day.   I remember Gene Dunham kicking off his shoes to get traction why flying his C-47 with no throttles.   I can also remember when those kits were around $30.00 and we thought it was expensive.   Yes the wood was heavy and the hardware was heavy also.   But, they were meant to take off, fly level and land.   No loops or aerobatics.

:! As much as these kits may be nice to own by the well to do collector, I'm thinking a reasonable facsimile could be made at much less cost with just as much satisfaction. On E-Bay I found the combo 4 motor ESC for a reasonable cost. This was originally for the quad-copters, but could see it in a Constellation or DC-6. With 4 electric motors and a single timer, one would be assured all start up and shut down at the same time and run on one set of batteries instead of 4. http://www.ebay.com/itm/200906051880

I just wanted to add that I haven't tried this myself, so YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary).  VD~ S?P DV^^ HH%%
