Title: Ebay Style Auction Software added to this site
Post by: RC Storick on August 05, 2012, 08:15:43 AM
I have acquired the code to make a auction site as close to eBay as I can get with out a DMCA being filed on me. So I will be installing it and advertising it on all the model sites soon. The fee will be 1/2 of eBay. To make this a success I will need everyones help in spreading the word.

I tried this before but didn't have the right code. This will be easy to use.

The fees here are a bit diffrent from Ebay. Nothing is charged on the closing price. The listing fees are low and there is also a banner spot you can purchase for your web site. This is all automatic so once you credit your account with five to as much as you wish to spend your auction items will post. Remember no closing cost and lower fess.

Can I snipe at the last second?  VD~

Will there be a buy-it-now option?

What about backdoor deals (via PM or E-mail) outside of the auction site? How will they be handled?

I have almost 1,000 feedbacks on eBay and know how the game is played. I've been played myself.

GunBroker.com has a good system that prevents sniping... ;)

I charge nothing on final sale. This is a work in progress I have not over thought it. We will all learn and adjust it as we go. You can not believe the amount of time it takes for a Mechanic to engineer the code to make this happen. I am sure there is a 10 year old who could do this in 1/2 the time I just don't have nor want one at hand.

Well I am testing the software. Seems that photos must be from a outside source like photo bucket. Or you could post a photo here and use it that of you item. As of yet no buy it now button. But I am working on it. This program should suffice just fine. I have spent all day cleaning up files and loading diffrent PHP code to make this work. Wish I had a 10 year old sometimes.

To list with photos is almost mandatory. So much more interest if you can "see" the item.

I look forward to it, and the guys getting out of the hobby or cleaning shop will have an opportunity to sell to someone who needs it.

More realistic prices also...

Can't some of the money be used to help pay for the site.
