Hi Gang!

I'm posting to invite all of you to think about volunteering a small amount of time to help children learn how to fly Control Line during this summer's EAA Fly-In Convention in Oshkosh, WI, during the week of July 20-25.
Every volunteer that can help with at least 4 hours, will get free admission, on site parking, hat, shirt, lunch, beverages and full access to the show.
We are in desperate need of pilots, but can also use people to help with crowd control, pit crew and guest registration.
You can work a morning or afternoon (4 hour shifts), but we have more of a need for afternoon volunteers because most people seem to want to work mornings, leaving us short handed in the afternoons.  You can also help out all week long if your interested.  Many of our volunteers camp out together in Camp Scholler the on-site campground.

If you have any questions, you can PM me or send an email to the address listed in the attached registration form.

Please use the attached registration form to sign yourself up for one of the most rewarding events in aviation.

Thank you in advance!

I am adding this post to bring it up to the top.

We need your help.  It's only for a few hours.  We have made the airplane easy to start, pit, and fly.  If you helped us in the past, it's easier now.

Also, if you do attend, and out like to fly during the daily demos, I will let you fly one of my good flying profile planes.  Just show up.

I noticed that no one has downloaded the form.  No one.  Many of you attend this event, and we need your help to assure the future of this activity.

if you can't attend, get this in front of your club members.  Volunteering gets you a wristband, lunch, free parking, and other perks.

Also, what is keeping you from supporting your hobby and helping out for a few hours?

Please reach out to Chris or me for questions and concerns.

I would also encourage anyone with the energy and the ambition to see what Oshkosh is all about to make the trip and spend a day or two or the whole week! I did it for 17 years, and loved every minute of it. Then trying to stay employed in order to sneak into retirement and then the pandemic complicated things and got in the way. I went back  for a few days in 2022 when the MacArthurs were t=-retiring as chair persons, and if I can get things squared away and the planets align correctly, Sean and I may make a short trip up this year. It's probably the biggest and best airplane fix that any airplane junky could get, and volunteering for Kid Venture is one way to help with the overall costs. If I can keep Murphy's Law locked up in the closet, we'll see if it works out this year.
  Type at you later,

Hope to see you and Sean.

We did a lot of work to take the design work that the St. Louis crew did and have an easy, fly 100% repeatble system now.

Easy to fly, easy to pit, and exactly consistent flight.

Some improvements this year to make it even better.

It takes a lot less energy to be a pilot or pit crew.
