Hello All:
Recall that Dave Siegler, on this forum, recently requested donations to purchase new Norvel .061 motors for the above event. Well, we wanted to share a quick update about the event. This is what Chris Sterner, president of Circle Masters Flying Club and Chairman of the KidVenture Control Line Program had to say:
“A big THANK YOU to all of you who participated in the fundraising effort on behalf of the KidVenture Control Line program at this past Summer’s EAA event in Oshkosh.
“The great news is that our club guided a total of 1,480 children and a few adults in their first attempt at control line flight. We also made history with the first ever Electric Control Line flights. About a dozen kids got to put up flights on the Electric Hellcat (KidCat) prototype design.
"These flights were a huge success and demonstrated the real possibility of eventually switching over to electrics for this program.
"Kudos to you and to the many volunteers who helped make this year a big success!”
So that’s it from Chris. Tight lines all!

Glad it is working out for you people. I I wasn't so handicapped I would help. Maybe financially next year. D>K

Nice to hear some good news, Dave Moe!
I think with doing "intro flights" at Oshkosh, you are at least dipping into a well that has water in it. Not usually true at other venues....

Chris and Dave do an awesome job flying kids all week.
I have helped for a few times just for a day and was beat. But was a fun day.
