There is now an alternative to PayPal called DWOLLA. They do not charge any fees if the sale is under $10.00 and only .25 cents for a transaction for any amount over that. I called and talked to them and they are based out of Des Moines, Iowa and have been around for about a year now. They are only in the 50 states right now but are planning to go international in the near future. I questioned them thoughly about security and they have good security. I went ahead and set up an account with them as an alternative to PayPal. I have had to ask you all to pay the PayPal fee on every kit you buy through PayPal and that is usually in the area of $5.00-$6.00 additional that just adds more cost.
I will continue to take PayPal of course but if any of you check out DWOLLA and decide to set up an account with them, I will be able to use their services to receive payment as well and there will b NO fee to worry about. I can handle a quarter LOL. As for international shipments, I have no choice except to use PayPal.
Check this out at www.dwolla.com. I am told that they are growing extremely fast. By the way, the reason that they can just charge .25 cents for a transaction is because they DO NOT take credit cards.. That is why the fees on PayPal are higher... this is strictly from bank account to bank account cash transfers.
