Dub Jett- Vendor appreciation
« on: April 23, 2016, 05:40:43 PM »
For the last few weeks I have been helped with getting a new plane ready. Powered by an used 14 year old RoJett 40BSE, I was not familiar enough with it to get a good run. An e-mail to Dub and Rich Oliver made for immediate great results. Unfortunately after a few flights it either sucked a bearing or lost the plug element causing the bearing to go. In No Way am I blaming the quality of Dub's manufacturing or assembly work. I immediately contacted Dub and told him that the engine was in the mail to him, and that if he had a new one, to please send it. He replied that all engines are built to order and not held in stock, but that he was leaving for a long weekend and would try to get me something early next week. That was Thursday, it arrived today (Saturday)! He delayed his vacation to build and mail it.
I can't say enough good about his service and products.
Thanks again Dub, and Rich!!

What took place Tom? Did he replace the bearings or did you get a new engine?

New one, and he'll see if the old one can be saved. I'll start the break in on it today, after Moto GP!

Once the muffler screws on my RO-Jett 61 came loose and fell out.  I called R. Oliver and he sent me a whole package of screws!  (they are 5-40, I believe, and not found locally).

It's nice to know that engine service is available and painless.

They are good people.   Mine went straight into a plane and run great on the recommended fuel.   I just need to fly it more, but the plane is a heavy weight. H^^
