Title: Duane Stork and his Stork
Post by: Dennis Leonhardi on November 03, 2023, 01:52:53 AM
I seem to remember reading the Stork design dates to the late '40s.  Then again, I'm pressed to remember my name some days.

Can someone fill us in?

The only memory of a model named Stork is of a 1/2 stunt model a profile I think, that was kitted for a while by some one in Illionois. That's all I can think of this morning.
   Type at you later,

The 1/2a Stork (1/2a Nobler profile)  was kitted by Russ James of AJ Freeflight service in the early 80's. He was located around the Fresno CA area. The company changed ownership a couple of times before Walter Umland took it over.

Brodak makes a 1/2A Stork kit . Over $100 for a 1/2 A is a little rich for me.

Didn't Midwest make a C/l trainer that had a wing rubber banded onto a stick fuselage a while back??
Maybe the wing was foam left over from an R/C plane they kitted.
Thought they called it a 'Stork'. 15/19 powered perhaps.
Good luck with the search!
"Tight Lines!" H^^
