I just got on Du-Bro's website and placed the following product request. Realistically I don't expect anything to happen with it but if any of you agree and get a chance, please get on their site and request the same.
Here it is:
I've used Du-Bro products for my model aircraft projects for many years. I also typically prefer and choose your products over a competitors same or similar item, especially the fuel tanks.
I am a Control Line model builder/designer and flyer and I would like to request here that you add a new item to your clunk type fuel tank line. I use many of your 2,4 and 6 ounce tanks but have many times wished that there was a 3 ounce available. I've had many, and plan many more, projects where the 2oz is too small, the 4oz is larger than necessary and also just too big physically, but a 3 ounce tank design in the same proportions as the 2 and 4oz would be absolutely perfect. Actually a five ounce in the same proportions would be desireable at times too. Since fuel loads and available space are much more critical on Control Line models, I am also confident that many, many Control Line modelers would also love to see these offerings. Please consider these new additions to your lineup.
Thank you,
Wayne Willey

That'll work! :!

While they're at it, I'd like to see a 5oz and 7oz tank, too.

May be common knowledge but Just found this out the other day. A Sullivan 4 ounce slant will only hold 3 1/2 ounces with no plumbing and the slant held up. Plumbed it can't be more than a 3 1/4 ounce tank. On the other hand a Dubro 4 ounce, all tubes forward, will hold real close to 4 3/4 ounces.
Wouldn't be surprised to find the same issues with other sizes of plastic tanks. You can't believe the marked capacity..

After working for the government all those years, Ty should know. LL~ LL~ LL~ Don't shoot me now Ty, as I have tried clunk tanks several times and could not get any consistency.
-
Maybe they could also come up with a tank for profile models that "looks" like they were made for profile models? LL~

your Request was eloquently presented and reasonable for many additional consumers/ customers to add "Me Too"! Please let us all know what response you receive!

Hello Folks Why not go all the way and ask for some plastic wedge tanks in maby 4oz 5 oz 6oz 7oz 8oz so you could choose eather clunk or no clunk. Just a thought. Thanks John Jordan

There was a time (way back when) when plastic tanks were made for stunt. The fuel container portion was the classic wedge, surrounded by rectangular ribs that would position the tank in a rectangular fuselage compartment.
Really!

When I checked my E-mail this AM I did actually get a response. The respondent, Terry Weiland, said that they have no plans at this time for such an addition but he would bring it up at their next production meeting. That's cool, at least they responded, and promptly. I know it's a long shot to get them to even look at us Control Line folks but hey, it's worth a shot. If anyone here chooses to jump on this bandwagon I think it would be wise to keep the requests short and simple, for now. If they actually do something with this request maybe we can get more done in the future.
For those interested, here's what I sent back to Terry:

Terry,
I didn't think so, but I thought I'd put it out there for consideration anyway. For what it's worth, I copied and pasted my request to you and added it as a post on a couple of the larger Control Line forums, Stunt Hangar and Stuka Stunt, and already have some postive response. Of course guys are already elaborating wanting even more options, but a 3 and 5 ounce offering would be a great start.
If there is any interest at all in your production meeting(s) of catering to the Control Line community, I and I'm sure some others, would be happy to help with suggestions. In a perfect world we could even get ahold of plastic equivalants of many of the profile type Control Line wedge tanks.
Thanks again for your time.

I sent them a note also exparssing a need for the 3 and 5 ounce sizes.

I would like to see them offer a 4-40 clevis like their steel H-D one with a deep throat suitable for CL control systems.
