Title: Drones.....say it ain't so!
Post by: peabody on August 06, 2015, 04:53:20 AM
Hi
The "Sun Coast" of Florida (Gulf coast around Tampa) has had record rains in the last month.....lots of flooding.

Pasco County has issued a call for "drone owners" to help them assess the damage. What's the world coming to?

Drones, CL.

It's the people. Good and bad in everything. Even R/C.

I'm guessing, there must be a Drone Forum?

There are more drone forums than CL forums I would bet.  ALL RC forums have a multicopter or drone section.  There are also a number of forums dedicated to these machines.  Then there are the microcontroller forums that discuss these machines because of reprogramming the controls to develop the function of the hardware.

Drones have practical uses.  They are already being used by insurance companies

Yes, there are a minority of idiots making a bad name for them.  Remember that news focuses on hype and the negative since it "sells"

A "drone" forum?  Really?  Now you're going to tell me those droners can actually read and write!

Are they really called "Droners" or did you make that up?

Oh boy, it won't be much longer and the flame throwers will be here.    f~

Personalized drone graphics?

I guess RC drone photography has pretty well killed full size aerial photography.  Maybe an RC drone hitting your house isn't as bad as the same incident with a Piper Cub.
