Title: Downdraft dust collector
Post by: Steve Thornton on August 03, 2014, 03:21:52 PM
Waiting for my hinges to dry and saw this on YouTube. It gave me some ideas for a good dust collector.  What do you folks think?  Maybe a reinforced pegboard top?

Steve,
Thanks for sharing a really neat idea. Simple set up and looks like it would work well with the peg board top.

I built this combination work bench and downdraft dust collector around 5 years ago and it performs very well and keeps my shop dust free. I paint on it too.

It's very easy to build and can be tailored to your needs and size requirements.

It has a removeable hinged work surface, pegboard on one side and storage underneath.

I did a feature article in Control Line World and if anyone is interested, I can send them a copy.
