Waiting for a new engine.

Hi all.
This is a plane of my own design.
I decided to try the MVVS .49 (Acrobat) which i have ordered from Alberto Parra in Spain.
So a nose surgery is needed.
It used to have a LA46 but i never got that one running ok.
Plane  has been stacked away for 2 years.
Wingspan is 54". I will change the wingtips and extend it to 56"
The wing profile is based on Trivial Pursuit .

I will post some info on the engine when i have it.

I like the design, but it looks like it should have been a twin.

 Hi Norvaldo,

 It should  work out great, replacing the LA .46 with an MVVS .49 is a bit like ditching a ST 46 for a 60!

 It should have heaps of grunt in that size model. May take a big shoe horn to make it fit though!

 Even though I like my LA .46, the MVVS is a true stunt engine and I found it was a lot less finicky to get the type of run that I liked from the .49.

It has been a long time. Hope you are all well. Give my regards to Richard Oliver if you speak with him.
Tell him that the RO-Jett .40 is still the 'pearl' of my engine collection.
It has currently found a home in a Thunderbird II.
I still have the wing and the cowling (the one you made for me !) from the late JD Falcon.
Maybe some day i will order a 'tail plus fuselage only' kit from you.

As for this twin boomer (or Gemini boomer for the guy who was inquiring about my non existing sister)
there is only one pushrod (in the outer boom). The flap and elevator horns then becomes L shaped with only one leg going into the surfaces. They are  slightly oversized compared to what would be normal for a plane this size.
I had some nice conversations with Tom Morris   discussing this and other points on the design.
Got some very good feedback. It was he that supplied the complete control system.

Nose length to be determined..Need the engine first.

I decided to strip it and repaint/recover ...
