Not that long ago. Only July 1974 in American Aircraft Modeler if I am correct and still pretty up to date.
Seems like only yesterday...but my old bod' keeps telling me that purty long time ago..

Tom
Again...I was so pleased to see that the Stunt News issue with my Avenger also contains BOB EMMETT my life long mentor, dear friend of both my wife and I.
Bob many many many times...helped and guided me through so many difficult times in my life...I can assure you that that Avenger and many other models would never have been possible with his guidance.
He helped me so much not only in the building fazes, but also was always there when I needed him....be it as a helper, coach, or advice on so many other issues in my life.
In the lean and mean times...of the mid 60's I can assure you that he and his beautiful family got a bit tired of seeing me coming down his driveway by the lake...JUST ROUND' SUPPA TIME!
Bob and his family truly fed both my skinny body...and my needy starved soul.
That song.."He ain't heavy...he's my brother" is what Bob Emmett was for soooooooooooooooooooooooooo many of us nerd-de-well young model builders in those days.
He truly made a huge difference in my life...and I will always feel so fortunate to have him as my brotha in life and balsa dust.
Hey Gang...Read about Bob Emmett! I truly wish I could "glean a look this issue of Stunt News just for that beautiful model of Bob's "Miss Chev"
