Sad to hear. Don and I were friends for a long time. I think I have the only replica of his Saturn. I copied his model not the Pampa  article. I still have the plane and flew it 3-4 years ago.

More sad news.
He was still flying in his 90s.

I never met Don Ogren, but the name bounces around in my head for some reason.  Did he discover polyspan and sell it through Starline or something like that is the early nintys??  Just curious because I seem to remember getting a note from him for some kind of material long ago.

Awww man, that is sad news. Another local stalwart and true gentleman of the sport is gone... Don was always an upbeat and kindly guy. He loved to fly, and still tried to get out and compete even as old age took its toll. You could see he still had that fire burning right up to the end.

My condolences to his family,
Eric V.

I met Don at a few local meets around Florida. Just a nice guy, a pleasure to be around and an asset to the hobby.
