« on: May 25, 2010, 11:36:47 AM »
I will be in the Asheville area on Friday and Saturday. I plan to have a plane with me and hopefully hook up with anyone who wants to do some flying.
If interested, please call me at 267 218 2786 or e-mail me at <rzambelli@sc.rr.com>

I will be staying at Grove Park.

Bob, there was a fellow at our April contest for the entire weekend from Asheville. His first name is Colin and he flies at the Asheville r/c site in the mornings. Nice guy , sorry i don't have any more details but he does frequent this forum from time to time so maybe he will see this post. Good luck , Ray

Ray, you reminded me -- we had a thread here from a CL flyer in Asheville:

Two different guys, so it seems.
From what I remember of the Asheville area, the only level ground is inside buildings; might be tough finding a place to fly.

Love Ashville I go there 10-12 times a year. Just east of Ashville is mt Mitchell tallest mountain in  eastern US. Rode my bike up there last year,June, 48 degrees that day.Ashville and Flagstaff Arizone my favorite two cities. RC glider flying is very big in the area. Ashville is 110 miles from my house so Rebecca and I go there often.
