That's clever Bob, staying safe is part of our effort to continue to be here to fly control line in the future. Thinking about inverting my stooge concerns me it could get hung up on the lawn. How about instead place an eyelet into the ground just inside the circle and running the pull sting back to the attendant sitting away from the circle?

      Got to try it out yesterday. I still say it's a brilliant idea. The RC(exC/L) flyer who released the plane got a bigger kick out of the setup than I did. Partly because he had never seen a stooge before.

      But here's an even more practical use for a reverse stooge. With our ranks getting longer in the tooth, various body parts aren't working as they used to and bending or kneeling down, and worse, getting up results in fewer folks willing or able to help launch. So you put a lawn chair just outside the circle, bring the lanyard to the chair where you might find an aging helper to begin with, and you're ready to go.

One minute delay.   Fly electric.   PS stake the safety thong to the ground while walking to the handle.  That way if the motor starts before you get to the handle, thong pulls on the down line causing the airplane to nose over and stop.

That's how I do it when my wife goes with me  .  Ain't no way she's gonna' stoop or bend down to hold a plane for me or anyone else  and I gar'on'tee she'll make it known too, in no uncertain terms, if ya' know what I mean!!

Ara if u go back to #1,thats what I did . after releasing, he had a front row seat to all my screw ups
