I think I got you beat. At least you can see your table under all the stuff.

I have been known to build a new bench because I didnt want to clean th old one off. I don't think you can call this being lazy,it's more like being stupid. ~~> ~^

How do you keep such a clean shop/work bench?? ??? mine is much more cluttered. I have long since left the bench and am now on the floor. ???

I thought I was bad. I don't have enough area to build a wing without bulldozing.

Linhearts' shop is very well ordered indeed!! Note that everything on it is modeling related.

Hi Frank,
I have an area about 12X20 in my basement devoted to only CLPA airplanes. Nothing is there that isn't model related! And, it has looked that clean exactly three times in the past 15 years! When it was first set up, when Gail and I cleaned it out once, and when Aunt Bee (also known as Bobby "Champione" Lampione) came to stay for a week! He even found my lost shop vac which he used every 30 seconds! LOL!!

Your's is less dusty at the moment.

Mine isa standard solid core door and the only open area is a 6"X12" space right at the front edge <=

Well I'm paralyzed by clutter in my shop. My brain demands organization but I can't seem to get a start at straightening out my mess. I was doing fine a few years ago when I was concentrating on just building a contest plane but my visiting here has led me into all sorts of extracurricular modeling activities such as all these half A models and electric stuff the stinking Bi-Slob and all the gear related to getting this stuff to work and keeping it working.
I keep thinking I should have a seperate box and set of tools for each. You know a 1/2A box. An electric box. A contest box. But that ain't happening.
As to the airplanes themselves ........well they're scattered all over the house.
Aero-modeling is turning into a part time job.
I used to have a neat and tidy house but now it's just a mess. AAAAARRGH!!
-
And here I thought I was the only one...
This is from a couple of years ago when it was still neat, and before I built my second worktable which is now buried, I'm currently working on my Workmate and the floor.

It has been son long since I have seen my work bench, I have forgot what it looks like. I build in my lap. If you seen the photos of the CLC Wing Jig in the products section. You will see it is laying across the top of two folding metal chairs. DOC Holliday

Mike: How do you fit those weights in a tip box ???
-
I didn't know there were any window weights left. Those look like bits of the original cord still attached.
-
Mike
Are those "scuba diver" belt weights under the window weights?
Clancy

I can see bits of my bench. The real work often happens on a couple of sawhorses under the "car shed."
-
You guys can see your benches?????
I've got 15 more planes in the garage.

Clancy ,
Those are some nice cabinets you scrounged from the kitchen. Your work table is about as new as my balsa wood storage.

After almost three months I thought I should update you on the condition of my bench.
The insignia on the wall is of my Air Force unit, 76th Fighter Interceptor Squadron "Flying Tigers" at Presque Isle A.F.B., ME in 1954-1957.
I use the bench mostly for building and testing the U/Tronics Control units I build.

How do you get anything done with all that neatness. I started on my dungeon about two weeks or was it two months ago. Found a razor plane I thought got throwed out with the trash. Still haven't found an engine I know I have down there somewhere. Have fun, DOC Holliday

It needs work.

Hi Guys;
If you can see the top of the bench trough the clutter it is too clean. I would include a picture of mine but the camera is on the bench somewhere.
Bob Hills in CT.

Off subject but, are you still making those "Park Avenue" lust after-to die for tool boxes of yours.

linheart, Mine looked about like that one time (right after I had cleaned it up).
