Hi Guys I found this plane at our 4-H flying field at least 31 or 32 years ago in the garbage can it looks to be an original or maybe a copy of a kit as the remaining ribs all have bolt holes in them from stacking them and sawing them the leading edge and main spars look to be douglas fir. It also has a copy of a Goldberg wizard engine mount. I think it looks a little bit like a copy of a combat kitten but I wanted some other opinions. Lots of people used to use the flying field as its a county park there were a bunch of destroyed combat planes in the trash but this one looked salvageable so I took it home. T.J.

Nope, Lil Satan had a full flying stab and a center spar.

Thanks, Randy. Maybe it is a Combat Kitten like Yaknine suggested? Or maybe just a derivative on a 1/2A combat kit of some sort...... ??? We threw together a lot of odd planes back in the day... a wing from here, a fuse from there, etc., etc.. ;D

I am home sick today with the cold from hades so I figured I would try out my new phone's camera finally entering the digital age !

If I had my TF Combat Kitten kit here at my house and not my dad's I would be able to clarify. David R. has one thas similar to this. Perhaps he would know.
-
Looks like someone tossed it in the trash for good reason.

If your talking about the 1/2a combat hanging on the wall those are a design I did when my 2 boys were trying a little combat in the yard.
That did not last long, dog gone it! GIRLS!!! LL~
To my memory the Combat Kitten had a shaped leading edge( hollowed) and a sheet balsa full depth spar.
Defiantly not a Lil' Satan.
The airplane in questions looks like a sit down with balsa, pencil, knife and glue and see what comes out!
I have much experience with this process! HB~>

Hey Jim
Can you cut sheet balsa using a #11 using your leg for a surface and not hurt yourself?
I know I can't and it hurt! HB~> LL~

Well, I did stick and X-Acto carving blade (#26??) about a 1/2 inch into my thigh one night............. didn't have any CA at the time, either..........

It is not a Combat Kitten either. It was built just like the big Combat Cat with a stabilator for control. We built several of them just for practice. With an RR-1 Cox they were faster than the TeeDee .049. I also used 6-3 props on them. H^^

Maybe a LilSnip?
-
I recently picked up a Lil Snip kit. It has a diamond airfoil (no curved surfaces) for lack of a better term, so I don't think it is a Lil Snip.

Could be it is just someones idea of a fun airplane. H^^

I keep wanting to say 1/2A Matador....... the old gray matter has apparently been stirred around. HB~> LL~
